Although we often share architectural trends and news about building homes in Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Carson City, we’re going to put that aside for the next few news articles within our Borelli Architecture website.
With all the challenges that we are facing today, we thought you might enjoy a news feature about some of the ‘good things’ that are being planned as we speak to enhance your life at Lake Tahoe.
We’ll start this news piece with one that is close to home.
Thanks to the good folks at TahoeFund.org, they have championed an effort to collect ideas and professional insight to ‘re-imagine’ Spooner Lake. If you have never visited this once quiet ‘catch and release’ Lake at the top of Hwy 50 and Nv State Rout3 28, you should.
Prior to the expansive growth of mountain biking, one would be able to pack a picnic, fly-rod in hand, and head off to this small and serene lake for a true day of peace and quiet. Although the lake and it surroundings are still a wonderful get-a-way to explore, it’s been discovered – for all the right reasons.
As its popularity has increased, so has the need to adapt to this new world that hosts over 150,000 visitors in a year.
Right now there is an effort underway to greatly enhance the park to accommodate the demand – and increase educational and recreation programs on site as well.
There’s a very well done video that has been produced by TahoeFund.org that explains their former efforts to glean ideas and gain funding to support the project entitled “Spooner Lake – Reimagined.”
And our team at Borelli Architecture imagines all of the vision and funding for a new Amphiteater, Visitors Center, Group Event Area, and improved trails and services will offer all of us some great news to share in the months to come.
If at anytime you want to know what’s new and trending around the Lake Tahoe Basin or close-by Clear Creek Development in Carson City, NV, please just reach out. Kelly and I have lived in Incline Village for over 30 years and continue to keep our pulse on our community.
