One of our favorite new golf course communities around Lake Tahoe is Clear Creek Development in Carson City, NV.  When you combine its magnificent setting on the eastern edge of the High Sierra, with one of the top-rated golf courses in Nevada, with the tax advantages that come with living in Nevada, this is indeed one of the best places to build a home today.

Just this past month they announced a new phase for the development called “Overlook Estates.”  I have toured the area and am impressed with their ability to expand the community while continuing their mission to protect the land and its environment.

Their website describes it best:

“The new Overlook Estates includes some of the most spectacular homesites at Clear Creek. The topography is stunning, rolling terrain with excellent building sites. Many front the golf course, all have incredible mountain views. A few select and very large parcels overlook Jacks Valley. In all, 46 new chapters in Tahoe’s most exciting mountain community.”

When you take a look at the developer’s Homesite Map in Clear Creek you can immediately see the lots that have been purchased or are pending sale.  In addition, there is a wide selection of lots that are still available today.

If you would like a personal tour of Clear Creek in Carson City, NV, I would be delighted to show you around.  As a Nevada-based architect available to design homes at Clear Creek Golf Community I am keenly aware of their requirements and standards.

This is what the developers have to say about the benefits of building a home within this historic Clear Creek Ranch property.

“Not only do we make it easy to build the mountain getaway you crave so does your new home state of Nevada. As Nevada residents you’re not subject to cumbersome, expensive Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) restrictions and permitting costs are very low relative to California.

The gentle topography of Clear Creek considerably reduces the complexity and cost of site and foundation work and construction is feasible year-round. Other factors reducing building costs include: lower snow removal costs; less snow load for roofs; and better access to resources labor and building materials in nearby Carson City.”
